To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Vistiq. But it costs extra on the Ioniq 9.

A passive infrared night vision system standard on the Vistiq Premium Luxury/Platinum helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Ioniq 9 doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Vistiq and the Ioniq 9 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

For better traction, the Vistiq has larger standard tires than the Ioniq 9 (285/45R21 vs. 255/60R19). The Vistiq’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Ioniq 9 (305/35R23 vs. 285/45R21).

The Vistiq’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Ioniq 9 S/SE’s standard 60 series tires. The Vistiq’s optional tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Ioniq 9 Limited/Calligraphy’s 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vistiq has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Ioniq 9 S/SE. The Vistiq’s optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels on the Ioniq 9 Limited/Calligraphy.

The Cadillac Vistiq’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Hyundai Ioniq 9 only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the Vistiq can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Ioniq 9 doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The Vistiq has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Ioniq 9’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Vistiq has a standard automatic load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Ioniq 9 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For better maneuverability, the Vistiq Premium Luxury/Platinum’s turning circle is 2.8 feet tighter than the Ioniq 9’s (38.2 feet vs. 41 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Vistiq has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Ioniq 9 (7.2 vs. 6.9 inches), allowing the Vistiq to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat in the Ioniq 9 Limited/Calligraphy, the Vistiq has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Cadillac Vistiq has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are only offered on the Ioniq 9 SEL/Limited/Calligraphy.

The Vistiq has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the Ioniq 9 SEL/Limited/Calligraphy.

The Cadillac Vistiq has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located for the driver. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Hyundai charges extra for Homelink® on the Ioniq 9.
