The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Celestiq helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Celestiq and the Electrified G80 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Cadillac Celestiq weighs 962 pounds more than the Genesis Electrified G80. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Celestiq can travel longer on a full charge than the Electrified G80 (303 miles vs. 282 miles).

For better traction, the Celestiq has larger tires than the Electrified G80 (285/35R23 vs. 245/45R19).

The Celestiq’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified G80’s standard 45 series front tires. The Celestiq’s optional tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Electrified G80’s 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Celestiq has standard 22-inch wheels. Only 19-inch wheels are available on the Electrified G80. The Celestiq offers optional 23-inch wheels.

The Celestiq has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the Celestiq can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The Celestiq has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The front and rear suspension of the Celestiq uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Electrified G80, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Celestiq offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Genesis doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Electrified G80.

The Celestiq has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Celestiq’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Celestiq’s wheelbase is 11.7 inches longer than on the Electrified G80 (130.2 inches vs. 118.5 inches).

The front grille of the Celestiq uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Celestiq has .4 inches more front headroom, 3.7 inches more front legroom, 1.3 inches more front shoulder room, 2.1 inches more rear headroom, 2.8 inches more rear legroom and 1.5 inches more rear shoulder room than the Electrified G80.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Celestiq’s rear seats recline. The Electrified G80’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Celestiq’s standard Keyless Access allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the car, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Proximity Key standard on the Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

The Celestiq’s power side swing out doors make it much easier to load and unload kids and cargo. One touch opens the door, before you even get to the car. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a power rear door.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Celestiq has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Celestiq also has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

Standard air conditioned seats in the front and rear seats keep the Celestiq’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

Both the Celestiq and the Electrified G80 have standard massaging front seats. The Celestiq also has standard massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the Electrified G80.

The Celestiq’s standard oscillating air vents move back and forth and distribute air evenly inside the vehicle, making everyone more comfortable. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer oscillating vents.

Both the Cadillac Celestiq and the Genesis Electrified G80 have a standard Qi wireless phone charging system in the front seat. To easily keep personal devices charged in the rear seat, without cables tangling and wearing out, the Celestiq also has a standard wireless charging system in the rear seat. The Electrified G80 does not.
